Pink Day– Atherton Ladies Celebrate Women in Golf Month

The women of Atherton Golf Club are proving they are a driving force in supporting and promoting women’s golf. On Thursday, 13th of March, the club embraced Golf Australia’s "Women in Golf" month with a fantastic "Pink Day" competition—celebrating not just the sport, but the strong community of women who continue to grow the game.

Dressed head to toe in shades of pink, 24 players hit the fairways for a fun and competitive "Pink Ball" stableford event. The vibrant display wasn’t just about fashion—it was a show of solidarity, enthusiasm, and encouragement for more women and girls to take up the game.

The day meant more than just golf to these ladies; it was a celebration of friendships, support, and the love of the game. After play, the group gathered for a pink-themed afternoon tea, complete with a beautiful pink cake baked by Annette Seawright—a sweet way to round off a fantastic event.

These initiatives highlight Atherton Golf Club’s ongoing commitment to fostering a welcoming and inclusive space for women in golf. Whether through fun themed events, mentoring new players, or simply encouraging each other, these ladies continue to inspire more women to get involved and stay involved in the game.
