The Meg Nunn Salver is an Inter-District Match Play Event - a competition contested annually by the seven Districts of Queensland – Far North Queensland, North Queensland, Central Queensland, Wide Bay Burnett, Downs & South West, Gold Coast and Brisbane and District.  This year the event was held at the Calliope Golf Club 11th - 15th September.

The team consists of 6 players.  Maximum handicap for the event is 18 and full handicaps apply. State Squad members, Q.A.S players and Junior players are not eligible for selection.

The FNQ Squad included:  Pam McGowan - Paradise Palms, Pam Shay and Marion Wright - Half Moon Bay, Nikki Bruce, Nerida Wilson and Erina Williams - Cairns.

Although we didn’t take the title, the girls played solid golf for the three days and had some great scores and beat some very tough opponents.

Well done girls, you did us proud.

The Junior JUG is the state championships across seven districts played in Matchplay format.  We had  three representatives under the age of 18 and this year it was held at Gailes Golf Club in Brisbane from 27th June to the 30th June.

Ÿ
Caitlyn Hendre - Gordonvale (13)
Ÿ
Karlee Reid - Mareeba (12)

Lorraine Matthews, the FNQDGLA president was  the team captain and said the girls did FNQ proud.

Well done girlies......
